Getting Money, Bit per Bit

Money making is the everyday task of many players. Some professions are very expensive, but with careful preparation, most can become self-sufficient, with very little, or no farming at all!

Today, I'm introducing a little secret...

The Iron Counterweight. This little item enhancement can become a lucrative solution for lower level Blacksmiths looking for a steady income.

You learn to craft it from a world-drop plan, Plans: Iron Counterweight, that can easily be bought from the Auction House at 15 gold. A single Iron Counterweight can cost from 2 to 3 gold to produce, given the price of Iron, Lesser Moonstones and coarse stone. Most blacksmith of level 30-40 will have plenty of everything and will only need to buy some Lesser Moonstone (~1.5 gold).
A single Iron Counterweight can be sold for between 7 to 15 gold. Good profit, ain't it?

Now, why would these sell?

20 haste rating is a lot of haste
At level 30, it is more than 5% increase in speed. Even at level 60, it is 2% direct increase in DPS. It also help hunters since Haste Rating on you two-hander will apply to your ranged attack speed as well. At level 70, it still gives around 1.2% increased speed, and so DPS. And for the Druids out there, haste rating DOES apply when you are in cat or bear form.

It is cheap
Most enchants that will provide that much of an increase will cost more. Brilliant Shards ARE more expensive. For the price of 1 enchant, you can probably buy 2 Iron Counterweight. One for now, one for your next upgrade. It makes it a perfect item enhancement as you level.

More hits, More gain from abilities
The more you hit, the more efficient your Critical rating is. It also mean more procs from abilities. Also, keep in mind that Haste Rating does not decrease damages from abilities calculated upon the weapon speed, like Seal of Righteousness or various Shaman powers. So you hit faster and deal the heavy damages of a slower weapon.

This makes it an ideal item enhancement for warrior, hunter, paladin, shaman, druid, anyone with a Two-Hander. It is not temporary enhancement, so it stacks with windfury or sharpening stones.

Raiding Addons - The necessaries

DeadlyBossMod
Are you the raid's strategist? At least one or two member of your raid needs this add-on. Wether your lag prevents you from seeing Nightbane's Bellowing Roars in time, or you can't figure the range of some bosses' chaining attacks (Maiden of Virtue, Halazzi, Akilzon, etc), this mod covers it all. Activate the warnings, and your raid will be notified whenever something BAD is about to happen!!

Omen
You send your Avenging Shield flying and the word RESIST you see feels you with dread as you know your raid's fire-mage just can't stop his Pyroblast (he's addicted to it!). Or the Prince Malchezzar is at 35%, the tank gets pounded hard so you're DPSing all you can, when your hunter gets the aggro, Feign death is resisted, and the Shadow Nova obliterates half your group. NEVER AGAIN with OMEN. This addon tracks the threat generated on each and every target you're fighting, so you know exactly when to slow down and when to give it all. Download it, Install it, and press WIN.

Decursive
Some people can click on Cleanse/Dispel Magic/Remove Curse, then target someone in group 2 and remove the debuff within 0.5 second. I can't. Sometime, you also just happen to be the tank and have more pressing matter than fool around your interface. This addon is the key to fast and efficient decursing. Because a single tick can save or kill your healer, speed is often of the essence. Very customizable (i only use the mini-frames, they're the best) and simple to use!
